What is Slow Flow Yoga?
This is a moving, breathing meditation class, meant to ease the whole being.
Transitions are lengthier, so while there are fewer transitions than your typical Vinyasa flow, they are more intentional and deliberate. There is space between poses, to take time, with several rounds of breathing in each pose, to focus on mind and body awareness, with deliberate calm.
The goal is to be meditative, while working on improving strength and flexibility, through a smooth, slow, thoughtful pace; taking time to learn, and refine, correct, stretch, and breathe. There is no rush to get to the next pose, so there is space for mental process to happen, as the body moves through the repetition of sequences.
TESTIMONIALS
“I’ve been to a few different style of yoga classes, and really enjoy the unexpected take Justine brings to her unique style of yoga. I feel challenged just enough to want to learn more, but not pushed too far that I can’t follow. She explains little things about where yoga comes from, woven into her classes in such a cool way. Leaving her classes I feel relaxed and wiser!”
-D.D.

“I sustained a minor back injury a year ago and since then my ability to walk has been significantly hampered. After much whining and some research I heard that yoga might be able to help me to regain my mobility. When searching for local classes I came across Justine. Through our online classes she helped me to understand that yoga should not be painful, and that it is not a competition or race to perform, and thus if I feel any pain or
discomfort I should ease back in the move-ment. After 5 classes I already feel myself getting stronger and my endurance is way up. I highly recomend Justine for any skill level that you are at.”
-Sarah

“I always thought yoga was just about stretching, but a few classes in, learning about my breath, I felt so much lighter for days after. It made such a huge improvement for my asthma, and my anxiety too, and now I’m hooked.”
